Training and Approval Required Unless You Have Received Compliant Fleet Training
Michigan law and applicable national safety standards require all individuals to be “appropriately trained” on safety procedures and the operation of an Autogas dispenser.
Here’s what this means for you:
-
If you operate a fleet that has a training program that has both trained and documented all employees, agents and others that may dispense Autogas into motor vehicles as part of their duties to you, we may be able to issue IDs and PINs to each of your employees. Under this standard your employees would not be required to participate in our online Autogas Dispenser Training and pass our Autogas Dispenser Assessment. We reserve the right to review or audit your training program and documentation to insure that your employees meet the appropriate training standard.
-
If you operate a fleet that does not have an appropriate training program and/or documentation of appropriate, your employees will be required to participate in our online Autogas Dispenser Training and pass our Autogas Dispenser Assessment before being issued a PIN to operate our propane dispenser.
-
You or your business may be required to provide proof of liability insurance.
